My First Anniversary Gift
I know I’m a bit late but last month I received a couple packages in the mail from the best girlfriend in the world, Corinth! The first box was a photo book and I will use this photo book to organize all of the polaroid pictures we’ve taken during our time together. Also, inside the book were ten cards numbered one through ten and each card had a message to me. The last couple of cards inside the book instructed me on when to open the second package and I was super excited yet still clueless as to what was in the other box.
In the past, I’ve been pretty accurate at guessing Corinth’s gifts to me but this time I really had no idea of what was in that second box! A couple months ago I visited an antique store and came across some film cameras that looked so interesting (Vintage Argus Argoflex Model E) and the idea of shooting film and learning the process really intrigued me. I told Corinth about me wanting to learn and she wasted no time in wanting to get me started! When I opened the second box I was shocked, ecstatic and it all came as a huge surprise to me! Inside was a Canon AE-1 35mm film camera with three lenses and some rollfilm for me to begin practicing!
Over the past month I’ve been learning the manual so I can get familiar with this awesome camera. So far I’m half way through my first roll so I have not been able to see my shots yet until I get them developed. Honestly, I’m not expecting much from this first roll as it’s my first time ever shooting film but I’ll be sure to post some on here in the near future!
Thank you so much again for this anniversary gift, baby! I’m so looking forward to shooting you with it very soon, very very soon! Hehe.
